What a great little gem to visit of the beaten path. We happened across this because it showed up while we were looking for an antique shop. We are really glad we stopped to visit. Next time, we'll bring a lunch since there are picnic tables in the area.

Nice old bridge, not far off the beaten path, with a nice park area to walk around.

3/8/2021: Temporarily closed. Do not attempt to drive around the barrier - you’re going to get stuck. No warning signs the road was closed until within about 75yds of the bridge where you encounter the cemented in barrier. Can see the bridge, can’t get to it.

Peaceful covered bridge in the country, near Woodbury. Shady picnic area by the creek. Oldest & longest wood covered bridge in Georgia, featured in the movie Lawless. Open to traffic, up to 3 tons.

Oldest and longest covered bridge in Georgia! My wife and I stopped by here on our way through. Beautiful location, wonderful bridge construction, plenty of places to park, picnic tables by the river. This is a pretty awesome place to take the whole family!

Oldest and longest covered bridge in Georgia. Built by Horace King and held together with wooden pegs, you can still drive across. Nice picnic area. Clean water. Surrounded by the scenic south.

I love this place. I love the history and the beauty of both nature and truly a man made wonder. I wish more places could have been preserved before they were lost. I wish other people could respect the uniqueness and the fragility of this piece of history. I saw people flying over this bridge with no regard to the damage they could be doing.
