My daughter attends this grammar school and so far, we are happy with the school. She likes the fact that she is challenged academically and has made a good circle of friends and fundamentally, she's happy there. They seem to assess the pupils regularly from topics they have covered to end of term tests which personally, I think is a good thing. They also go through areas where children have found difficult or didn't perform as well. Can't really fault the school. Much different to the days when I went to my local comprehensive school. Some parents still send their child tutoring which I don't really understand as teaching at the school is sufficient and they get regular homework.

- even one star is too generous List of problems: Standards are too high Overpriced food Too much competition And pressure. Literally no help Understaffed, sometimes the teachers don’t even show up. The only reason why the schools has good grades is due to the students constantly doing tuition outside of school. Constantly expected to do well as you are a grammar school student. Dinner duties where you have to wash up in front of the whole lunch hall for really silly rules like being inside during lunch or for sitting on the floor. There have been girls who just have mental breakdowns in the corridors of this school. In important years such as a levels you could be left with a cover teacher for months.

Incredibly inconsiderate of students' well-beings especially during a time like this, we're in the middle of a pandemic and teachers are hassling students for work and keeping their expectations higher than they would if students were still in school, while giving them barely any guidance whatsoever. I understand this is an unusual situation and everyone is stressed but can you imagine how the students feel?
