My girlfriend and I have been coming to brother's sushi few times now and this is our favorite restaurant. We like that chefs are constantly evolving and offering new creative ways to enjoy sushi. brothers modern omakase was voted the best of LA and we think it is well deserved. Every dish we had so far is well thought out to be pleasing to the eye and delicious in the mouth. I think the fact they offer something different each time is the reason why we usually opt for modern omakase. If you want a great date night, go to brother sushi, order modern omakase for two and a bottle of Ken.

Updated review Last time we were there the quality of the service and the sushi had deteriorated significantly. Perhaps it was because our prior experiences there had been so positive and the sushi/sashimi so superb that it set a high bar for our expectations. But objectively it is not anything like it used to be - not sure why, but we were very disappointed and unlikely to return. Too many other excellent choices around.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the valley, maybe even the best. The appetizers were creative and way more delicious than even expected, plus they serve the best piece of kohada that I have ever had. Little touches such as moist towelettes and a basket for your stuff (not to mention a bidet in the gender neutral bathrooms) really make you feel welcomed and pampered. And the service, wow! Splurge on one of the Omakase options - trust me, it's worth it.

I'm a fan of Sugarfish and this is the same type of delicious. I guess it's true, there is a lot more rice and could use more fish but doesn't matter cause the flavor is so great:)

Simply some of the best quality sushi on Ventura Blvd. Even their in-house delivery service is fantastic and shows the level of care they take with quality and presentation, whether dine-in or take-out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
