I was interviewing different companies to provide a bookkeeping service. Woodlands Quickbooks was the 2nd company I met with. We had a scheduled meeting at the office in Hughes Landing. We spoke for about 35-45 minutes about my needs. She was very professional and polite and provided insight on how to efficiently provide book keeping services and some suggestions that might need and not be needed to be done in the office regarding accounting of inventory. I thanked her, left and met with a few other companies later that day. Over the next few days I decided to go with a different company. Upon doing so and informing her I went with a different company, I received an email with an invoice for 100 for her \professional advice\ discussed during the meeting. I was so surprised to see this. She did not have any of my accounting records to make sound financial decisions and provide adequate recommendations. In addition, the fee was not disclosed prior to the meeting. I paid it and considered this a costly learning experience. Beware... and ask if you will be charged for any time spent with Woodlands Bookkeeping
