WARNING: BEWARE AT ALL COSTS!!!! I’m a little suspicious of these positive reviews. I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. Poor quality, shoddy work, doesn’t deliver what was agreed upon and owner gets angry and confrontational when questioned about any little detail. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated by the horrible work that was done. I’ve spent a small fortune of my hard earned money trying to get this work completed and all I’m left with is frustration, anger and disappointment over this whole ordeal. I’ve lost thousands and thousands of dollars. I’m most likely going to have to spend even more money to hire another company to fix the damage and low quality work that was done. It’s unfortunate that people would take advantage of you in the middle of a pandemic.

Excellent contractor. Top notch quality and attention to detail. Unlike many others they are fully licensed, insured, have references you can call, tons of work you can see in the area. Many years in business. Just great.
After Hurricane Sandy destroyed my entire basemen in Breezy Point I desperately needed someone to help with the reconstruction. I contacted Ralph and John (owners) who immediately got to work and did an incredible and affordable job. The crew was always punctual, professional, and clean and gave me nothing to fuss about unlike other construction companies. I highly recommend Sclafmore Construction for any job. I just had my kitchen completely renovated by Sclafmore Construction (gas, water and heating pipes relocated, walls taken down to the studs, etc.) and I can’t even put into words what a phenomenal job they did! The kitchen I had imagined is the kitchen I got! Ralph gave me an extremely reasonable estimate for the amount of work that had to be done. He promptly returned all phone calls and came to the job site often to check in. The Sclafmore construction crew was wonderful – professional, polite, reliable and a pleasure to work with and to have in my home (and they kept the work site clean). There were no hidden costs, no delays, no construction horror stories. Steve, Andrew, Mike, Jack and Kenny – I can’t say thank you enough! I highly recommend Sclafmore Construction and they will be my number one choice for future renovation projects.
I recently bought a 1920s home in Astoria, Queens. It's a fixer upper and that included the back yard. The concrete patio was cracked and pot holed. The patio stones the former owner put in were dated. I had huge dead tree and the place was overgrown with vegetation of various sorts-vines, rose bushes, corn, etc. I called Sclafmore Construction for a back yard make over. The guys came over a shredded all the veg. They took the tree down and cleaned up the yard. Then the next day they poured fresh concrete and the day after, came the bricks. I now have two beautiful brick patios with some growing areas that are easily controlled. The guys were great to work with and very professional.
