The absolute worst place for families, and anybody who’s not part of their cultish employees. They charged us 15 a person to get into to a ghost town of a pool, and then proceeded to tell us that the kid pool was down because they over-chlorinated it. Then they said our kid isn’t allowed to enter the big pool with floaties. So we brought her in on our arms, and then they told us to GET OUT because the first 15 minutes of every hour is “adult swim” (which isn’t written anywhere, and wasn’t mentioned before they took our money). The best part- there are literally 3 other people in the pool. So now we are 100 out, can’t go in the empty pool, and the snack bar is closed. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode, but it’s not.

This is the most wonderfully magical place that rarely exists anymore. We have been coming here for over 20 years and have used it as an escape from city life. The families and staff are what make this place unique and if it wasn’t for the commitment and hard work of not only staff but volunteers, this place wouldn’t exist. We have a wonderful baby pool where parents can safely play in the water with their children. The main pool with its diving boards and plenty of room for Marco Polo, family swim time, and dedicated adult swim time for adults wanting to do laps make it a perfect balance. A throwback to a time when random acts of kindness are the norm, all children are our children, adults get to be children again, plenty of BBQs and family fun, especially around pool volleyball at 3pm on weekends when adults play and children cheer :). Thank you, Brian, and the rest of the Zena staff for keeping us sane and keeping Zena alive.

I can't imagine our summers without Zena -- it is an amazing club! Originally I thought it was \just for the kids\, but over the past 7 years I've made some amazing friendships, too. Swim team is the most spirited and friendly team we've ever been a part of. All the staff care for us like family. Simply wonderful!

Zena Rec has been our go to summer staycation spot for over 22 years. Generations have learned to swim , play tennis and made lifetime friends. The facility provides a beautiful pool in a serene woodsy environment that makes it the perfect recreation facility for summer enjoyment .

It is so wonderful! The staff are amazing, and genuinely make an effort to connect with you and your child. The park is clean and safe. Tennis courts, basketball courts, and a swimming pool are included, and lessons are available for tennis and swimming. There is also a swim team for more advanced swimmers. The park holds events throughout the week, such as adult water aerobics, movie night, and various barbecues throughout the summer. Food and drinks are available for very low and reasonable prices. Membership is a little pricey, but it's honestly totally worth the cost. -Susan Laporte Grace Tytus
