We discovered Workaday after putting an offer on a house that we ended up not getting. The house had a beautifully remodeled kitchen and a unique staircase design, which was clearly a huge draw since it received 12(!) offers in the span of a week. We were disappointed to miss out on that house but were so glad we were able to get the contact info for Lara & Jason from Workaday! When we eventually found the house for us, we knew it needed some work. While it was very well maintained for a 1927 bungalow, it had not been updated for several decades and aspects of the layout made it a little difficult. We reached out to Workaday, and a few other designer firms, to see who would be the best fit for our project/budget. We ended up going with Workaday for a few reasons: 1) They were easy to work with and offered some really good suggestions right on the spot. 2) It was clear from their work that they were able to balance design concerns with practicality. 3) Their pricing was fair and they took our budget concerns very seriously. 4) They acted as project managers and quality control for the work being done. We ended up having them help us with re-locating the stairs from the kitchen and stacking them under another set of stairs, getting us through Portland's historic review process, remodeling the kitchen 2 bathrooms, and planning furniture styling for the whole home. It was a huge project, but they guided us through all the unexpected challenges and tough decisions, and we couldn't be more thankful. We enjoyed the process of working with them and are thrilled with the final product. If you need architecture or design work done, you should absolutely reach out to the amazing team at Workaday!

The Workaday team helped my wife and I do a redesign of our kitchen, basement, and two bathrooms. Their approach was very helpful with a ton of residential architecture and design experience. They had great modern ideas to come up with unique solutions for our space. I would highly recommend them for any residential renovation or new build.
We hired Workaday to design our ground up desert oasis in Arizona and so far we have had an outstanding experience. They take the time even before the project really starts to walk you through what each step will look like and setting mutual expectations.
