Well organised with car parking and brilliant woodland and lakeside walks as well as hunting lodge. Great view

A beautiful location atop a valley with stunning views over the Cotswolds countryside. There are many walks around the estate (the orange walk is quite boggy and requires good waterproof footware and trousers), the purple has steep elevations. The walks around the gardens, the tearoom and the on-site peacocks, make the visit very worthwhile. Sadly the weather was against us and very foggy, we shall be going back

House not open, but a very warm welcome from all the volunteers. Great walks around the estate and the gardens in excellent trim, nice to have a coffee with the peacocks and pea hens. Lots of super sculptures around the outside of house. Well worth a visit.

With the ongoing Covid restrictions we were a bit stuck for places to take Alice this weekend. After a few places that we couldn't book as they were full we settled on Newark Park. This turned out to be a great choice as they'd added a lot since our last visit and it is a large enough space to be able to absorb people. I'd say the ticket issuing is certainly on the cautious side, they could easily have doubled the number of people and there would still have been no danger of getting too close. We didn't visit the house (I'm not actually sure if you can) but we had a lovely time walking through the gardens and then down to the lake. It was interesting pushing the pushchair up the steep gravel path on the way back! The adventure playground was fantastic and there were loads of seating areas too, we could easily have spent longer there than we did.

Lovely stroll around the pretty formal gardens & then the woods (took the easy trail, lots of beautiful Cotswolds views). Didn't go inside the lodge due to Covid 19 restrictions. Pre booked tickets via National Trust website, staff very helpful, cafe open for takeaway coffee, lots of hand sanitizer & finally spotted a peacock on the way back to the car.
