Best snooker/pool club for miles!
Really enjoyed an afternoon playing pool here. The beer is cheap and the atmosphere is great, it makes it feel quite like a secret club that not many people know about. There's no charge for the pool itself, you pay for the lighting above the table, so if you're fast, you can get good money's worth out of the time spent there. If you're slow at playing and take your time, it might be worth playing somewhere else as you may get frustrated at the expense of paying for the lights.
Cheap little bar but with awesome selection of pool and snooker tables. Highly recommend the toasties! You have to be a member to join and play (students can get a free membership) good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks with friendly staff and good music :)
I am a student who goes and plays poker there and for poker and snooker the place is decent (the people aren't) but its the best you can hope for especially for the free-roll. If you're looking for a night out or a place which isn't filled with lonely men who are in their 40's then steer clear from here. I have been quite literally threatened with violence for just looking at someone the wrong way and yes it's filled with not exactly the creme of society to say the least... However if fat, scruffy and very uncouth men with loads of tattoos is your thing then this is the place for you! xd
