We were recommended to go this place by our music school. We went to get strings changed on the violin. He has a coarse nature but it comes from a good place. He knows what he is talking about. The accolades on the wall speak for themselves. He replaced all the strings and advised to come the next day for a tune up as the strings dampen after a day.

Before visiting Mr.Wu my violin of significant value was appraised by European experts. We just wanted to see what he has to say(purely for entertainment). He laughed and said that the violin is not of any value at all. Later, he said he wants to buy it. Very sketchy place :)

I first rented a cello (and I still rent my son's viola) from Mr. Wu. When I was ready, I purchased my own from him. He was very helpful and taught me much about the instrument I was buying as well as string instrument making in general. I ALWAYS learn something amazing when I visit his shop. He is more than a little happy to teach you anything you want to know about stringed instruments. He never pushes you to purchase something you don't need but he always has ideas about how to make your sound better if you so desire. I won't go anywhere else!

conceited nice to degree of businessmen. he acts kind for those that might buy more cello. He acts different when you have payed most of your rent. E.g. he would do maintenance when there is about year of rent left for cello. However, when he realizes that rent is almost over and you are not upgrading, he won't. But good cello place overall

I am a professional violinist, and a graduate of Rice University. I come to Mr. Wu's shop every so often and I am NEVER disappointed. Mr. Wu has adjusted my instrument regularly, and it keeps it in prime shape and ready for any stage in the world. I always trust his comments and suggestions, and he never fails to improve my violin. Also, he has never overcharged me for any work, in fact, Mr. Wu is often generous enough to give me discounts and sometimes even free services. I highly recommend this shop, and I think my colleagues would say the same. I look forward to my next visit!

I don't understand the other reviews about Mr. Wu having a condescending manner . . . he has never been anything other than pleasant, kind, and helpful to us in the years that we have been using his service. He makes fine quality instruments for a fair price. If you're interested in a beautiful sounding, precision instrument, you can't go wrong with Mr. Wu.

Very bad service. Owner is very arrogant and charged us like we are an idiot.We Rent a violin and came back to him to replace one string. He charged us 30 for one single sting. The same kind of string only costs 15 for the whole set in other musical store. We paid what he wanted but he told us he had no time to tune for us, which could take him a few minutes only! Will return the violin once the quarterly payment is up.
