I wish I could remember the woman that registered me. It was around 11:45am today at the main entrance. I can't imagine the people she deals with and she was so unbelievably pleasant. Even with a mask on you knew she was smiling. Kita (I apologize if incorrect spelling, she drew my blood at about 11:50am today) was so pleasant and did not mess around. It took me longer to get my coat off than it did for her to take my blood. She was kind, pleasant and just a pleasure as well to deal with...and so so so fast. Rather than fast... efficient for certain. Thank you for such a quick and painless trip!

If I could give less I would. Forst in ER nirse took my moms phone away BC she woke up confused, in the ER for three days with no windows and no family. They also wanted to sedate her, 79 y/o. Have her double dose of blood thinners... no patient rep to answer phones and I had to call admin to get someone on the phone. Dr Otto admit dr never called me ounce and I’m medical power attorney. I called daily sometimes three times a day to speak with him and get information. Only dr Penslor and house dr called me. My mom can’t be alone and needs one to one care but dc her with an assistant and gave her instructions. She could not remember them! We signed to copy of chart and the medical records stated they never reviewed it over two weeks later. I was icu for years before I received my advanced practitioner license. We copied charts in the unit for family. Not now!! So here I am trying to set up Homecare and assistance with no chart!!! I would wait in phone with her over 20 minutes several times for the call light to be answered. I guess covid is an advantage for lack of care and negligence... (double dose of blood thinners). I never would leave her before this BC of the care with Doug river hospitals. I asked for her to be transferred to u of m and spoke with ER doc at U of M and none called to make a transfer. This is one of the worst hospitals and inadequate cate I’ve dealt with. Recap Had to call admin to get information Took her phone away Wanted to sedate Restrain She was confused until she spoke woth me and then was perfectly fine. No communication form most staff Social work bee followed up woth me Need I say more Oh and double dose blood thinners They should be ashamed I will report to the state One more thing the nurse I spoke to in ER were Locums, meaning, they are not staffof the hospital. One even said I don’t know where anything is or who is who ..... wow that’s aweful !

I highly recommend them to anyone needing medical attention. Reservations are easy to set up via their app and recommended to avoid wait time

They were kind, courteous and did a great job coming to our house and helping my husband who couldn't get out of bed. He had great bedside manner, developed a game plan for us to follow up on and had medication on him so we didn't have to make a separate trip to the pharmacy.
