Loved riding at Equest--I rode, my Down Syndrome son rode at one time and so did a granddaughter. The move down to south Dallas, an hour's drive away through hard freeway traffic, will mean the end of therapeutic riding for our family! I am very sad--we were hoping to begin to ride again and now it will be impossible. I'm sorry to see the Wylie facility go down to real estate development!

Absolutely amazing team and a fantastic organization! Every one they're knows exactly what they're doing, are so helpful, and want to help everyone. Such a great idea, and fantastic facility.

As an Iraq War veteran I participate in the Hooves For Heroes Program for mental health issues related to my war experiences. I was reluctant and skeptical at first about how a horse could help me and how a horse was used in conjunction with counseling. After over 4 months now, I've found this treatment modality to provide an outlet and sense of peace I've not been able to find with other avenues of medical care. The Hooves For Heroes staff at Equest includes a Combat Veteran as counselor as well as a horse trainer who is an outstanding teacher and subject matter expert. She facilitated a love for horses I didn't I know I had. When I first arrived I had a mild fear of horses. The staff members here are competent, genuinely caring professionals. Seeing the other great work that takes place at the Equest facilities (Wylie & Dallas) is encouraging and provides a sense of peace I've been unable to find elsewhere. There is relief here.
