Steamed eel with a touch of egg is the classic to have in Yanagawa and Mingeichayarokki did not disappoint. It's one of the quaint little restaurants that you hope you find when you go to a new town. We went to Yanagawa specifically for the eel and this place did rival the other shops we visited. If you ever find yourself in Kyushu and like eel you should plan to stop by Yanagawa and this place.

their unagi is really good! their service was also really good despite the fact that it was really busy, the waitress was so incredibly cheerful. the ice cream was also very, very good.

I like the うなぎ rice set here, unique flavor with a kind smell like bamboo or something
The Unagi dish was above average, but during the checkout process, the female waitress seemed to be turned off by us \going dutch\ and using Nishitetsu coupon, thus became angry at us. Definitely would not come again!
