As others have mentioned, no water in the weir, but we loved this spot. When we arrived it seemed a bit odd. In the middle of some farming fields, completely empty, no water in the weir. But as the sun went down the light changed and it transformed into a tranquil oasis. Absolutely no traffic or plane noise. There are a few spots for fires, and some wood lying around (to be safe, bring your own). Has flushing toilets, but BYO lights. Has water, but assume not potable. Great spot for an overnighter.
Definitely not worth seeing, hardly any water in dam and camping spots aren't that great either. Not worth being off the road to see it out stay there.

Although the actual camp site is very good the weir has changed a lot it is now way drier than previously posted pictures and the creek is blocked off by a large sand bar not far from the weir itself
Someone needs to cut the grass near the weir and then it would be great
Unfortunately, no water in the weir at the moment due to the last 7 years of drought. But there are Cod skeletons in the river bed, so good fishing when water about.
Small are for camping Not much water in at the moment. Don't think I would go swimming in there. All right for stop over. No shelter from winds
