The most incredible foie gras tonkatsu ever. A must try if you’re in the area. The system works like this. There is a sign up sheet for lunch outside the restaurant. Signups start from 8:30am. I arrived at the shop at 9:30am, and was the 14th person in line. I came back to the shop at 12:15, they called me just as I arrived, took our orders, and we were seated 15 minutes later. There is a parking lot with about 10 spaces, 20m down the street.

The quality is undoubtedly high. Everything was in a harmonic presence. The pork is perfectly seasoned, fried and sliced. Waking up early and putting down your name in person is the only way to enjoy the delicious meal. I arrived at 0830 (it opens at 1130) and people are already signing up, that means I was late. (You can leave you phone no. or ask the shopkeeper for an approximate time and then go shopping around. Mine was 1400...) To enjoy their signature Tokyo-X tonkatsu, which is only available on Sat, I think it is safer to arrive at 0730. But the Kagoshima kurobuta supreme fillets set which I tried was also of superior quality.
The long wait in the morning was worth it. We got the Tokyo X and Kobatsu.. Both were amazing.
Wow, just wow. Amazing quality. Worth coming by just for the place. Make sure to try the Ajibuta version. Need to book in advance on the same day.
It was the best tonkatsu of my life. But the hirekatsu(pork fillet) is too dry. I would rather just eat pork loin part. Tokyo-X is the most popular and most expensive menu only served on certain days make sure u check which day they serve. Usually u have to wait in line for 2 to3 hrs without reservation. But in the morning around 8.30am they are open for short time for reservations. however ppl start waiting in line for reservation at 7.30am If u want to eat lunch arrive at around 8am. No phone reservation btw. Anyways in my opinion its not really worth it to pay this much and wait for hrs for this tonkatsu. Its far and time consuming. Rather just go eat somewhere near and save more time for sightseeing.
