The little town of Yaphank is very quaint. It is a real town with real houses that were built there. A hub for early Long Island farmers as it had multiple Mills to process crops. You cannot tour the homes, except for the Large Victorian home which houses the Yaphank historical society (limited hours, limited times of year....call).Also note, the gas station grounds are NOT open to the public. Prior permission to enter the grounds is required.
