Four of us rose at 6:30 on Saturday to go for a prearranged fishing trip at 8:30, part of a range of activities that were planned for the 50th anniversary celebrations of our first visit to the island on a working holiday as 17-year old schoolboys in 1969. We had phoned as recently as the preceding Thursday to confirm arrangements and called repeatedly on Saturday morning while waiting for someone to turn up, but not one of our calls were even graced with an answer. When we left the island on the following Tuesday, we had still not received any response in explanation or apology, so the one star evaluation is actually wrong by at least one star because it’s not possible to leave the evaluation of less than one star merited by such rudeness and gross incompetence.
