Absolutely amazing! So much to see! Our guides showed us around and explained all the history of not only the building but also the local area. Most extensive collection of "the good old days" that I've seen.

Thankyou to Helene & the whole team for being so welcoming at the Heritage Centre. My father would be very proud l, to know his Railway Station Masters hat, is now on display and a part of your wonderful collection of historical artifacts My husband and I congratulate the whole team for your dedication to the preservation of precious memories We would highly recommend this museum and it's only 2.5hrs from the Gold Coast QLD.

THIS IS A MUST! If you're remotely interested in any kind of history, this is the place, room after room of snippets of history, both local and further afield. Stumbled on this place by accident and spent two hours there, will have to come back to do it justice. NB Make sure to ask to check out the museum. HIDDEN GEM!

Thanks to Steve for his friendly welcome and generous tour. There's a lot of things here, of varying interest and depth, but easy enough to spend as much or as little time as you want in whichever section. Exhibits were quite enlightening on the post-colonial history of the area (even if it was a bit depressing that it seems to have mostly consisted of felling trees, raising cows, and sending boys off to war). Would have been nice to have more on the indigenous history of the region instead of just a tiny token section at the end.
