Plenty of information on the history of the BVRT. The northern most point of the trail and the section from here down to Linville is my favourite. On this ride we’d come up from Linville and we’re heading back down. Rested up briefly at the weir where there is more shaded, grassy areas and toilets.
Fascinating history information of the old railway line. I also walked part of the rail trail. Good signage also.
Look good. But hope more will be added around the the park
Location of the actual Brisbane Valley Rail Trail head, few minutes ride out of Yarraman proper. Station signage remains along with an informative interpretive board on railway history. There is parking and seating, but no toilet facilities. Water is available in Yarraman.
The northern end of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and the start of the Link Trail through to Nanango and then onto Kingaroy. Toilets are located at the Yarraman Weir, a couple of metres north of station park, free camping is available at the Weir, as well as yards for horses. The creek always has water in it, though the rain water tank at the Weir is not as reliable.
Great history on the BVRT
