I found this one on Booking.com with a 9.4 rating. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. As it was a public holiday Monday we are in the hotel dining room downstairs. A good range of fresh fish, pub favourites and specials. Very good value for money. Does not do breakfast but there is plenty of cafes close by.

Steak was delicious, a very tasty meal. Was a dozen in our group and all the meals were top notch. The calamari is also brilliant.
Great seafood platter. Couldn't even get one at a 'Seafood' restaurant in Fitzroy 12 months ago. Yum! Worth every cent.
Worst scotch fillet steak I've ever had, tough and chewy. I asked for medium to well done and it came out medium to rare. Had such high expectations from the reviews online but wouldn't waste my money going back there. Even the elderly couple next to us sent her chicken back as it had a bad smell and the man hardly touched his meal.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our hotel room for the night. Our double room had been renovated tastefully to a high standard Comfortable bed and great value! We were impressed at the presentation of the hotel, the efficient friendly service. Our meal was delicious and was served to us promptly even though it was a busy night. A couple of nice wines later, we just walked upstairs and fell asleep without needing to drive anywhere. The only reason we didn't give this particular room a 5/5 was because next doors A/C was humming nearly continuously outside our bedroom window, interrupting our sleep. I mentioned this to the owner as we were leaving and hoping this problem gets rectified. All in all it was a really lovely hotel with a touch of class!
Had a 5 star pork belly for lunch, just for those who just look at the menu and see things with sides you don't want, remember, you can ask for a swap to something you like. Sides on the pork belly, I am not a big fan of, so I switched them to chips and salad. Not that hard xxx The buildings age looks old, so whoever did the renovations did well. Lovely comfortable place to go and the service is great. Best part of going in was not hearing pokies!!
Is definitely not looks like a 4 star hotel 1. The bar of the hotel play loud music till 1am. And staff said they can't do anything. But we being travel whole day, so tired and hotel can't provide a nice environment for customer to restvery annoying of this 2.hotel is not provide actually double bed, is two single bed combine, which have a gap in between. 3. no register for hotel, when we went in have no idea where should go, no sign for hotel as well. 4. The room is actually connect with next room, have a door can walk through.
Lovely room/suite. Really friendly staff. Great value. Will recommend highly
