I was student at this remote school in the 70's & have fond memories of the grounds, in particular the massive oak tree that dominates the playground. It was a wonderful environment to be educated in with dedicated teachers who read to us of colourful characters like Blinky Bill, Mulga Bill & his bicycle and the dreaded 'Yowie'. The school is nestled in a cozy community of hard working graziers whose doors were always open. It is about an hour's drive to Walcha where we would restock, get haircuts or see a movie. I will always cherish the rich & diverse memories of those formative years at a Yarrowitch PS.
