This “might be “ one of 夏日友人帳’s scenes for fireworks, so it become my visiting option. I was on rental bike - traditional one without power - towards 球摩川 from 八代城(跡). It’s not far but my sense of direction was not good so again Google Maps was my guide - it would be perfect if bicycles mode was embedded because I was using walking mode that got me some circles round and round. It’s a large green, side by side with another one across a long bridge. There were not many people around when the school next to it was just called it a day. Students were on bikes too just like what I see from Japan drama and animations but weren’t boy students supposed to hang out for a while before going home? Or they hanged out at some other places - I wouldn’t know. I took out picnic mat (yes I brought it with me for an overseas trip), lazily sit one it, under a tree shadow, and watch others trees in front of or around me - how relaxing and nice weather I enjoyed that day! When I returned the bike, it’s just more than 2 hours and about 5km in the end.

10月に行われる花火競技大会は日本でも有数の大会です。試作も含めて最新の花火が上がることもあり、毎年30万人ほどの多くの人手で賑わいます。場所取りは昼ごろからでないと良い場所は取れません。 帰りのことも考えて見にいくようにした方が良いですし、駐車場の情報は公式サイトから逐次確認する必要があります。徒歩で20分ほどのところの駐車場に停めるのが良いと思います。会場のすぐ近くには1000円払えば停めることが出来る駐車場が出てきますが、帰りの渋滞に巻き込まれるのは確実です。どちらを取るのかはその時の予定次第で良いでしょう。 駐車場問題が解決すればあとは防寒対策です。昼間は暑いですが、夜はかなり冷えるので、ジャケットや毛布は必須です。床に敷くマットとともに持って行くようにしましょう。
