A consistently excellent pub of two halves, although one will be more than tempted to stay for more. Fine snug and restaurant and good covered seating outside. Excellent selection of drinks including proper cider. Staff are attentive and efficient but anything but soulless, particularly Alana and Julie. Thoroughly recommended.

Brilliant pub. Wonderful people A perfect pint of Jail and a bowl full of delicious cheese chips. All consumed after doing a lap of the reservoir at Burrator. Spot on!

This is our 5th time here. I bring my client who has dementia and have found the staff to be excellent with her. The food is 5 star. We were there today and yes they were super busy but having said that when I enquired there were only 5 staff on duty. Having worked in the hospitality industry for almost 25 years before my career change I must say that I was thoroughly impressed...... The fact that an oven.,fryer and some electrical faults...... The staff did exceptionally well and I will not hesitate to recommend this quaint awesome pub to anyone who fancies some traditional fare food and drink and super friendly service. My thanks to all the staff once again for making our lunch an experience to look forward to. For all those who do come for a fantastic experience..... Remember tipping is not a town some where in Asia 1....appreciate your service
