Amazing pub in Dartmoor with breathtaking views. Nice lunch sitting on front of the fire. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Food was great. Covid restrictions are creating havoc for pubs, the Warren house have had to put a lot of effort into keeping customers safe, whilst keeping the business running. This is definitely affecting the number of covers pubs can do. Be patient and enjoy the food.
Great location and views, in fact the only pub in the surrounding area. Cozy pub and friendly bar tender. The food was very average and cooked with little love. Reheated pie with frozen chips and boiled veg.I guess being the only pub around and having no competitors doesn't push them to excel. Food was also quite pricey for what it was.
Food adequate but very expensive. About as much atmosphere as a motorway service station. Whilst the location is great, the popularity of the place means that if you're outside, you're sitting in a car park. If you're inside, you're just another money provider - or so it seems. If you want to experience Dartmoor properly, I'd advise buying some great quality food and drink from some of the excellent shops in Tavistock, parking down the road and walking 100 meters away from the road.
