When we first explored getting some assistance it sounded expensive but it is not! The service was and is excellent. It was tailored to our needs, implemented within 24 hours of our request and delivered exactly what we wanted. Caring, polite and enthusiastic staff. Good communication along with kindness and empathy. You might find cheaper providers but I do not think you could find better. The carers all worked very efficiently but equally effectively. If they saw something that needed doing, they did it and throughout they adhered to COVID-19 guidelines. They had clearly been trained and always made sure tasks were completed to our satisfaction. I have been working with Home Instead (Yeovil) for around about 5 months now, it has been the most wonderful company I have worked for in the 9 years of my caring career. They are a fantastic well lead care company and most of all their clients come first along with high standards of care being offered by myself and other CAREGIVERS. Being a CAREGIVER myself for Home Instead has be a great opportunity to be supported by the management team. They support staff with great opportunities as I am now able to leave my post as a CAREGIVER to train in my new role as Field support.

Working for Home Instead has renewed my faith in domiciliary care, from my first meeting with Ashley and Kyleigh I came home excited and confident that we really would be providing great quality care. The minimum 1 hour time slots mean that we as caregivers are never rushed, we aren’t there just to do the basics and rush away again we have time, time to get to know our clients and them us, time to chat, time to engage and time to care. In the months I have been with Home Instead as well as providing personal care and home help, I have been a companion on outings to the library, to church & local café’s for tea and cake. I have sat with clients at appointments & made sure they got home from hospital and settled back at home. Overall providing friendly support and creating an environment where clients can feel confident that they have choices and enabling them to stay as independent as possible. From a personal point of view as an employee I always feel fully supported by managers and colleagues and have been given great opportunities to gain new qualifications.
