Read the reviews from others. We were not looking forward to this visit. We did however enjoy, it's a bowling alley... There were some staffing issues for the bar and the amount of drinks available. However the staff we polite and good fun. 3 games for 11 each. Not so bad at all

A bit tired in places, toilets not up to standard, the bowling lane next to us was constantly having problems.
Wow - this place has gone to the dogs since its change of ownership from Bowlplex. You wouldn't think it was still a relatively new building. Grossly short-staffed considering it was the Christmas school holidays (about 3 people running the whole place from what we could see), no-one serving food at all, poor quality and range of drinks at the bar, no decent pool facilities any more, preferring trampolines instead, hardly any arcade games working, and the "music" … well you'd expect Christmas songs on December 23rd, but from an Internet radio stream and constantly stuttering? It was so distracting, it was actually putting us off our bowling. Oh yes - the bowling. Regularly had to reset our pins as they wouldn't set up correctly, and had to call one of the 3 overworked members of staff over once when our lane stopped working altogether. Lots of other lanes out of use, very few balls available to actually bowl with. They don't even care about getting you to wear bowling shoes any more. I wouldn't blame the actual members of staff (hence 2 stars, not 1) - they're doing their best in the circumstances they've been given. This is all down to terrible management. We still had fun, making the best of the situation, but seriously, this place has gone to pot, and we'd seriously reconsider whether it's worth going back in future. It'll probably close before such a decision needs to be made.
Went here yesterday as a big family group for my Dad's 70th birthday. The lanes were continually breaking down and the staff's attitude was indifferent at best. Finally had enough and tried to ask for a refund. A home made sign stating no cash refunds is wheeled out for staff to hide behind both physically and figuratively! This gives a good indication of how bad things are and how often they are asked for a refund. So, unless you are absolutely desperate to go bowling, I would strongly suggest the Cinema next door as a better option, or the Frankie & Benny's restaurant on site, who gave us excellent service despite us being 30 minutes late for our table due to the constant breaking down of the bowling lanes.
Booked and then when we got there booking wasn't on system so had to wait. Lanes not working and scoring incorrectly. A number of staff sat in office when customers waiting. Paid for 2 games only used one, manager wouldn't give a refund.
Overall a decent bowling experience. We had two lanes of which one didn't work, but it was easy to switch lanes as there were very few people there. The whole place seemed tired, a lot of the lanes were faulty and the staff seemed a bit grumpy, not that I can really blame them for that. I went with a few friends and our French exchange students, it was good fun, although I wouldn't rely on MFA Bowl to do a birthday party or anything.
This place needs a lot of money spent on it. Most lights are blown so very dark the moment you walk in 60-70% of the arcade machines are broken The machines are spilling pins in all directions. It is a real shame as when bowlplex opened it it was a truly impressive site but now it is just a worn down shadow of its former glory.
Closed down now thankgod but if other sites operate like the Yeovil one did then never again. Hardly ever staff on, dead atmosphere and lanes broke at least twice a game. No option to have barriers up and down, one or the other as they also always broke. Glad Hollywood is taking over now
