I don't often get this sort of takeaway but gosh it was fab. The Morisa was hotter than I was expecting for a 'medium' but was very tasty. Came with a free naan and papadum too and was so much food I'll be eating it tonight as well.

As with other companies it seems, if they pay Google enough to be on their rating/review system and there are genuine negative reviews, slowly but surely - they get removed. I was a regular with this Takeaway from 2009 to 2016,.. pretty much 7 years. I remember the start of my visits because the first was an instant hit. The food was lovely. The food was actually nice until I stopped, the portion sizes reduced though and the Vindaloos weren't very nice - but it was always their lovely Chicken Jalfrezi and Pilau Rice I would get anyway. Therefore, quality is not the reason for boycotting Mukta Balti. As a regular customer of Mukta Balti it was recognised for all of the years I was going except the last few weeks when I noticed some unusual behaviour from them. On a couple of visits I noticed they were pretending they didn't notice I gave them a 20 note for an 8.70 dish and giving me 1.30 until each time I reminded them they would give me the 11.30 back. The proprietor of the Mukta Balti was the one doing this, and he did it twice within the space of two weeks (I went there often) - and both times there were no other customers there and it is well lit inside - so there was no excuse for it and could only have been deliberate. On the third and last occasion he tried this I decided enough was enough and I gave up. It amazes me that these people want to risk continuous trade from a regular customer of 7 YEARS just for a cheap trick that might gain an extra lousy 10 for the evening's business. As with all these places, the meals cost a lot for what they are and doing this just once is shameful.

Vindaloo tastes like wet cardboard. Yuck. No taste to it whatsoever.

My favourite Indian Takeaway The best Phall I have ever had. I always try different dishes as well as the phall, and my wife whom is a vegetarian also loves the Veg curry, mushroom bhaji etc.... Sometimes it's so busy there is a wait on a Saturday but it's worth waiting. Plus I used Mukta for over 17 years and I am not bored, great menu.

Nicest Indian takeaway in Yeovil. We have always bought from the restaurant in takeaway alley but seeing the good mid week deals Mukta Balti do we thought we’d give it a try....... so not dissopointed !!!! It was delicious ! The chicken melted in the mouth and just fell off the fork , amazing . The sauces were spot on. Portion sizes were very good. We have found ourselves a new Indian takeaway. Would highly recommend .
