Spent the day with the family and had a nice swim. The pools are lovely and the kids loved the water slide. Unfortunately the restaurant by the pool no longer does the takeaway menu and you have to sit at a formal table which is not ideal. You can get takeaway food from the cafe, but it's much further away and the options are pretty limited.

There for a wedding but the rooms were dirty & we were supposed to have paid for a room overlooking the resort as a part of the wedding package but it was not nice at all. We were all moved to be in the same building as the Reception which was good. Had great days having Bbq's & swimming. Wedding itself was lovely & the people assisting were great

The rooms are getting old and my room on the corner was quite noisy. The aircon is also freezing in the rooms. The function rooms are fine. Service is fine. Overall, the hotel is just aging and needs a refurbish.
Beautiful beach location. Lots of kangaroos. But very few people.
My family and I have stayed at the Capricorn resort a couple of times now. We have always enjoyed the food from any of the restaurants on site. The pool and the access to the beach, but the accommodation leaves something to be desired. The first time we were there the room was avarage at best. The second time the room was more run down than the first time and we had issues at the front desk with our bill (because we apparently "upgraded" the room). And the last time the room was absolutely dreadful. Nowhere to unpack our clothes (no shelves in the cupboard). The cabinet where the TV was standing on was broken, opening the door for access to the fridge was quite an issue. Bugs everywhere. The water from the bath tub was brown. The bed was half made (missing pillows and no extra sheets of blankets). As an Accor member I definitely expect better. We only book under the membership specials (early bird specials) and it seems that we get the most run down rooms. You would think if you book "early bird" you would be entitled to the better rooms... ?!? I don't belief Capricorn resort will be seeing us anytime soon.
Awful run down resort asking top dollar. DO NOT go here, its costs you 20 for a day pass- DISGUSTING. and for those staying as guests- PLEASE DO NOT. everything about this resort says the owners have no idea how to generate business or do pr. Since Rydges became Mecure, it has gone downhill.
Great rooms, fantastic activities located around the resort.
