Lovely little shop and well worth an hour to visit! Incredible little art pieces and shell examples, so much to look at! Perfect place, and so reasonably priced, for tourist nicknacks and memorabilia

If you happen to be at the information centre anyway, this place is part of that and worth the gold coin donation to go in for 5 minutes. To be honest it's a pretty small space and the shells are mildly interesting but nothing wow. Worth 5 minutes of your time.
This endearing museum in Merv Anderson Park presents more than 20,000 shells belonging to molluscs from the sea, land, as well as fossils. Shell World is surprisingly informative, meticulously labelling all of its specimens. The collection has been gathered from all over the world, but also gives a hint of the amazing natural diversity that lies offshore at the Great Barrier Reef. There are also coral samples, as well as more playful examples of arts and crafts using shells. If you’re building your own shell collection there are shells for sale here, alongside pieces of shell craft.
Small but absolutely worth the visit. Depending on your interest level, 20 minutes may be all the time needed but if you're an enthusiast, you will stay longer Gold coin entry fee. Passionate staff.
Very interesting. Never knew there were so many shells
What a wonderful beautiful shop, with lovely ladies and fascinating stories of the area, i was very glad that my 10 year old son convinced me into stopping.
The girls loved this place. Worth a visit.
Shell World is a must see. Shell World made us feel groovy. The volunteers are absolute legends of ladies, super kind and wise in the ways of conch. Get your shell on!
