A spy ship in North Korea and the Japan Coast Guard were in a shootout and exhibiting sunken ships recovered for investigation. It is a facility that publicizes the facts by thinking about the incidents that occur in the Japanese sea area from various viewpoints. Coast Guard seniors will guide you for free. Currently, photography is possible. #letsguide

Really interesting. Wasn't expecting that. I won't spoil the surprise but we'll worth a visit. Wheelchairs uses won't be able to do the stairs but you can see a lot of the ship still.

I happened upon the Museum by chance, not expecting to see anything of great interest....boy was I wrong! As I entered, I was approached by an older gentleman with wonderful English who asked if he could show me around the Museum. What I received was a personal tour!! The gentleman was very informative with a dry sense of humour, very unexpected. The Museum houses a North Korean spy boat that the Japanese Coast Guard salvaged from the sea floor after a 'cat and mouse' chase that was ended by the Nth Korean spies when they exploded their vessel and committed suicide.

A small、no price exhibit about a North Korean spy vessel sunk off the coast of Kyushu. Displays are in English and they go into great detail on how the ship functioned and the items found inside. The guide/security guard spoke decent English and was very helpful、walking me throughout the whole exhibit and explaining as best he could!
