It's ok to walk along the street and enjoy the food shops and stores there with your family in the day time but be forewarned they are expensive yet delicious. In the night especially on weekends it is filled with bar hoppers who can get a little rowdy.

Shenmue is one of my all-time favorite games growing up. Yokosuka is a nice quiet town full of hidden treasures. The long train ride was worth it. Also it is safe for solo traveler. Definitely a must!

This is the deepest American street in Japan. In some cases it is deeper than the streets of Okinawa. However, the scale is small. \Dobu-Ita\ means a wooden lid that blocks sewage. There are various theories, but as far as old photos are concerned, it is a nickname named after the sewage lid in front of the store that was common in Japanese old shopping streets. It may mean that it was like a secular downtown. Where there used to be sewage is now color-coded with tiles on the street. There are many pubs for Native Americans. It is different from that of Japan. Of course, American burgers are popular. And many stores selling US military used equipment. #letsguide #US #america
