Taiwan's 'old street' originally a fabric market I believe, some beautiful old architecture here and an interesting mix of shops, cafés and the odd bar. There are a wide variety of places here, from traditional vendors to newer hipster places. It's an Instagram paradise for many. Although many places are overpriced tourist traps, there are some real gems.The traffic is nuts a dance between cars, bikes and pedestrians, it all works and nobody dies, which is quite a surprise A must visit if you are new to Taiwan and worth exploring more deeply to hunt out the better places if you have the time.
If you want anything of textiles or sewing clothes by yourself, just come here to get them! And if you need custom-made clothes, you can also find a nice tailor on the 3rd floor. On the first floor outside, there is a kind of Taiwanese special ice sweet soup called ”杏仁露”. It's one of my favorite dessert and with special refreshing flavor. I highly recommend trying it!
Very good place for the DIY lovers who like to make clothes, bags etc by themselves. Really have fun today although I'm not good on it, worth to have a walk here!!! 喜歡縫紉的你，這裏是尋寶的好地方
Old taipei city, good shopping area.
This is a nice market and neighborhood for experiencing local culture and history. Good street food and interesting shops and services.
Don't forget horsing around nearby area for couple hours it worth your time.
Good and Fresh seafood inside the market. You can follow the line for this shop. They give a free compliment soup for the eat-in customer.
