I can concur with the rest that YAFL had been a positive experience for my son for three seasons. However, due to the pandemic they had to cancel the season which I understand. Once registration became available for Spring we happily re-enrolled. HOWEVER, as of this morning we heard NOTHING!! Although other players had heard from their coaches we did not. We reached out numerous times and got no response. Only to learn that they only had 320 spots available and not the usual 600 so they had to turn away 280 families. I understand they have no control over CDC and state guidelines, but This was the FIRST I had heard of this 320 limit! Had we known we would have taken a day off work to ensure that my son was registered and properly follow through. I can agree with others that the lack of communication is a big problem with these people and to leave us hanging like this is heart breaking. If any family does choose to do AFL in the future, PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE WHEN REGISTERING. Take the day off work follow up, follow up, follow up, and micro mange to ensure a spot for your child. Unfortunately the positive experiences in the past are eclipsed by this negative one......ironically their goal is to get families and youth to enjoy football and this experience has turned us off to their organization and we won't be back.

I registered my son for one of AFL's clinics, received a confirmation email telling us when and where to arrive, paid our fees, and showed up ready to play only to find out that the clinic was cancelled with no prior notice and no representative for AFL even showed up to the field! The only ones there were confused parents and disappointed kids! AFL also aren't answering phone calls or texts, so I wonder how or if I'll get my money refunded. This is either a scam or just a completely unprofessional and disorganized mess of a league!
