We had a 30 year old Mousey Thompson stool where the leather webbing top had totally disintegrated, making it unusable. Ali did a fantastic job sourcing the replacement leather, which was the same thickness as used on the original stools made by Robert Thompson, and repairing. The re-webbed stool looks beautiful and I suspect will last several lifetimes.
Ali restored and reupholstered two ancient Parker Knoll chairs which I had inherited. She did a wonderful job with them and I am delighted with the final result. Ali is very easy to work with and very patient (it took me months to decide on the right fabric). I would highly recommend.
We're delighted with the Victorian chaise and mid-century footstool we recently had reupholstered by AJ Firth & Co. My wife had inherited both items, and they had been through a number of house moves, so weren't in the best of shape. Ali and her team did an wonderful job stripping, rebuilding and reupholstering the pieces - and even revealed the chaise's beautiful mahogany carving that had been hidden under layers of upholstery. They even engaged a furniture restorer for some minor works on our behalf. Ali's advice in selecting appropriately robust fabric (we have two young children) was invaluable, and she even helped choose the colourway to suit our interior scheme and organised samples to be delivered to our home. From the initial consultation, throughout the re-upholstering process, collection and return Ali's team was professional and considerate. We really couldn't recommend them highly enough, and look forward to enjoying our 'new' furniture for many years to come.

I inherited two beautiful old chairs from a dear friend of mine. They were in a terrible state but I wanted to refurbish them because they were so sentimental to me. Ali worked with me, listening to what I needed sensitively and with an eye on my budget too. I cannot tell you how beautiful these chairs are now. She has kept their integrity whilst also giving them a new lease of life. They are now sitting at either end of my dining room table and every time I look at them I feel happy.
