I sold my house, Anthem put a lock on my tank and said I would get a refund for the remaining 60%. This was all settled over a month before moving. I called Jan 3 to find where my refund is and they said that I would need to have them come get the tank to get the refund. I told them OK, get the tank. But Jan 5, they now said that they got a contract from the new people and its too late. They said that besides, if they came to take the tank I would have to pay for removal and hourly, leaving me with a bill instead of refund. Now they tell me that the 60% gas will be free to the buyers of my house. DO NOT TRUST these people. I have terminated propane with other companies and never had to pay for them to take it, always got a refund. He said it would cost me over 1,000 to remove tank,,,and this is above ground . This company can not be trusted. My complaint is now with BBB and Attorney General. Josh Enck, the manager was so belligerent on the phone and spoke in a tone that I did not deserve. Run away from this company. I see the Anthem response....and to that : I did speak with my agent who says he has never heard of such a thing. He only knows that it is between the seller and the propane company and usually there is issued a refund. Anthem is making up this justification. Why would I have locked up the tank if I had agreed to give the propane to the buyers? You lock the tank so you can get a reading of what is remaining....what would be the purpose??? And I never had a propane company charge me to take the tank away. No, I deserve a refund and I will make sure to tell as many people as possible about this company.

Worst company ever! Beware! We went with this company because a friend had recommended them, and said that they had the best rates around. We discovered that after 5 weeks, the tanks were totally empty, and we get refills every 3-4 months, so we knew something was wrong. The smell of propane was horrible outside and we knew there was a leak. It took several calls to get them to send someone the same day, and they wanted 200 to send someone, until I convinced them that there was a leak. They came out, checked the tanks, and there was a bad leak! These were there tanks, not mine. They said they don't offer credits, and said the most they could offer was 50 off of the refill, although THEIR equipment failed!!! This was also a dangerous leak, that put our family and home at risk! They are refusing to give me more than a 50 credit for their tanks that were leaking, and are trying argue it with me. I have put in a report to the BBB, Attorney General & my lawyer. Our friend canceled due to problems with this company as well!
It took me so many phone calls within 3-4 week period to have them come out and fill our tanks. They kept telling me someone will be out to fill them. each week went on I called every day at the end for the week (gave them til Friday) and they kept insisting that someone was coming called last Thursday to make sure someone would be there tomorrow and nobody never came. So I called and the representative told me she couldn't do anything becuase my tank was not empty. wouldn't let me speak to a manager. Today they came and filled up the tanks and charged me at a rate I wasn't locked in at. So now I have to call back once again and I threatened them with a corporate complaint and to contact the BBB on them. Was told beings that the holiday is observed I have to call back tomorrow. I had this company for two years now and never had this issue. I won't be having them as a propane company come next winter. They are a joke.
Not helpful at all when asking questions.
Worst called them to come fill tank said tank to close to window can't fill it even know they placed the tank there have no heat going to go with someone else
