An Absolutely Fabulous Meal, Friendly Staff a must visit when Visiting York... Set Menu really good Value for money... Will definitely recommend and definitely be coming back. My brother had said it's the Best Burger he's ever had!

We visited here during the government help out by eating out 50% off scheme and this has been our absolute favourite by far. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Myself and my partner went for the set menu (which is included in the scheme by the way!) I went for the 10z rump steak and peppercorn sauce. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare. If I’m being very picky, this was closer to rare however, the steak was simply amazing and the peppercorn sauce complimented the dish perfectly. (I’ve lost count the amount of times the peppercorn sauce has completely overpowered the dish!) My partner had the burger, this was well seasoned and held the juice well without spilling all over the plate, very well cooked. Lastly, we both had the sticky toffee pudding. This was packed full of flavour and rounded the meal off perfectly. We highly recommend Ate O’clock and judging by how busy the restaurant was, so does the rest of York. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for making our evening so amazing.

Food was amazing and the staff were quick to take our order and deliver food/drinks. We were seated and had 3 meals and drinks in just over an hour. I particularly recommend the seafood tagliatelle - it was divine! (Other half feels the same way about the pork belly)

Our waitress was really friendly and is the main reason for the good review. The decor is nice and food is well priced. We got the 3 course set meal. My dessert (sticky toffee pudding) was delicious and well presented. The starters were nice too. My only complaint is the main (sirloin steak) was pretty fatty and really rare even though i ordered medium rare. Credit to the waitress for checking our food was okay but it was before i properly tried my steak unfortunately and they were a little too busy to flag. Overall though i would definitely come back and maybe order a different main. The cocktails are lovely too.
