Dr. Mayo Noerdlinger was recommended by the ER doctor who first saw me after taking a fall and injuring my shoulder, and it turned out to be excellent advice. Subsequently I have heard from numerous other patients of Dr. Noerdlinger who had similar sentiments as well as those who know of him and recognize him as the resident orthopaedic expert of the seacoast area. The surgery performed went perfectly and was a complete success as expected; the follow up with the PA Brian Barry went fine; and MA Stephanie Lewton was also a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this professional, competent organization.

For over a decade, countless specialists and misdiagnoses starting at age four, I finally made an appointment for my fifteen year old to see Dr. Welch. I found him by searching online after walking out on a Harvard doctor at Boston's Children saying \he just needs to lose weight.\ All staff members at Atlantic Orthopaedics in both the Portsmouth and York offices were exceptional with us. Medical Records, Surgical Scheduling and Dr. Welch and his Medical Assistant (Claire) are beyond five star!!! Dr. Welch doesn't usually do the procedure he did on my son unless it's adults. We are grateful for his honesty and willingness to assist us. York Hospital where the surgery took place to fix a torn labrum/bone shaving was beautiful and had a safe COVID-19 plan in place. I highly recommend Atlantic Orthopaedics, and especially Dr. Welch!!!!!

They have been great every time we go in. They always treated our kids very well and answered questions.

Always do your due diligence! They told me that they were in network with my Aetna plan, even after taking my card info down. I asked 3 times to get a “yes, we are in network”. I called member services and got the bad news that they are not in network with my plan. The concerning thing is I am the 3rd review with the same issue! I am most upset because of the chance to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Welch, who I hear is great. Insurance coverage is brutal as is, but this felt misleading. When I called to cancel and explain why, all I got was “ok, we cancelled your appointment” with no concern to the issue that lead me to cancel. Anyways, use the member services number for your insurance!

After xrays showed my back pain was caused by multiple spinal problems, my pcp sent a referral to Atlantic Orthopedics in York, Maine. Unfortunately, the earliest they could see me was 5 weeks away. I struggled with the pain but was hopeful since I had an appointment. 2 days before my appointment, I was told oops we dont accept Aetna insurance. I was livid that it took them 5 weeks to figure this out. They blamed it on a ew employee\ which is a standard excuse. So because of Atlantic Orthopedics my treatment and pain relief has been greatly delayed. I am back to square one in trying to get an appointment with another orthopedist. It boils down to greed.
