This is a fabulous restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff. The food is first class and beautifully cooked. Also a good selection of wine. We enjoyed it so much we went twice!! Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful lunch today! I’ve often walked past this restaurant and have been tempted for years! So we decided to give it a try! We didn’t need to book and was able to get a table straight away. The staff were friendly and attentive. We chose a main and dessert each and weren’t disappointed. The food was fresh and steaming, and full of flavour! It was beautifully presented and was so delicious! You can’t fault anything! We will definitely be back again to sample the rest of the menu!!
Lovely quaint restaurant with kind staff and delicious food. We chose the 3 course option. Both the Lamb and Beef feather blade were delicious. I highly recommend the potatoes au gratin as the side. For dessert I wish we would have ordered 2 of the toffee banana creme! We were scraping the plate for every last bit! Make a reservation! They were packed at every table and had to turn people away! We traveled to York during COVID-29 restrictions so this may differ during normal times.
What amazing food, great hosts and outstanding value for money. Lovely, informal atmosphere. Best bits: chicken liver pate starter and pave steak. Highly recommend a visit.
