Great shop, with a wide selection of Army surplus to choose from; the prices were also very reasonable. The owner is a genuine and approachable guy, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You can park nearby for free and I was able to find exactly what i needed without any issue. This is one shop I will visit much more frequently and I encourage anyone looking for army surplus, to pay Charlie Macs a visit. I would pay no attention to "martin vales" comment below. After visiting the shop, i can assure shoppers that what he's reported in completely false.

Beeing for the first in York, I wanted a souvenir. So, I went to Charlie Mac's Army Surplus. I discovered a very nice shop, full of wonderful things. The owner, a big and jolly scotchman, is a really nice fellow. Charlie is very friendly and eager to help you find what you are looking for. I had a great time there and I shall return for sure.
Charlie, what a brilliant guy. Went in for a good pair of boots - wanted HAIX not only did he have a nearly new pair in my size (almost cannot tell they have been worn) but he also had a few other items I wanted for Airsoft. I was going to purchase of E-Bay but this guy had the lot and did me a deal on a number of items. Just goes to show that if you take the effort and support small local business you can get the sizes and condition you want & more importantly at a price you like. Great shop, I've bought gear from Charlie Macs a few times, always satisfied, in fact I'm off there today . Very helpful and a friendly chap.
Nice little old school army surplus shop with friendly owner. Just got a pair of army boots there for walking in very cheap and fit like gloves.
