Lens Crafter is still open in York Galleria and has a decent amount of designer glasses to choose from. Certainly more than visionworks. The staff is definitely more friendly than theeyedoctor stores I've visited. Lynn was my consultant and she worked diligently to find the perfect glasses to compliment my face. In fact, everyone had a hand in locating my perfect peepers! LensCrafters personnel act like they want your business and they are HAPPY professional people to boot! I highly recommend them.
I wish the kids selection was better but in all fairness we had no trouble selecting from what was available. The team there was incredibly helpful!
To put it blunt Artist of con. My experience guarantees there is no value to their words. (See last line to see the result of thier corporate concern) I called and was told I'd get 99 glasses. I told them my prescription. I stopped in and suddenly my prescription was not available. Since I had no alternative at the time I was up-sold from 99 to 225. I asked what I was getting for the extra money. Answer scratch resistance and a year guarantee on that. 3 months go by and I get a scratch. I bring it in for the guarantee. I am told I didn't pay extra for that guarantee. I said I was told it was part of what made the lenses more expensive. She would have to talk to her supervisor. Today they offered me a 50% off discount on replacing the lenses. Yes I was still upset as they are asking for me to pay half. I asked how much that would be I was told 149. She went back to my receipt and saw I paid 125 for the lenses. So how is 149 half of 125? Why wouldn't it be 62.5? In short they brought me in thinking to the store thinking I'm getting a pair of glasses for 99. Somehow in an hour someone showed up with the same perscription. Sold me a pair with a promise of a guarantee. Renegged on that guarantee. And tried to get another 149 from me. Lenscrafters kind written letter of concern. Please let us see if we can help you responded. You refused the offer of 25 more than you originally paid our staff offered you therefore there is nothing we will do. How many of their clients fall for that was one??? And yes their offer of 50% off was 25.00 more than I paid.
