Freshly fried chicken and fries. Delicious. Coffee was nice but the cashier was rude.
My second time to see York and today I'm on a tour and had a stop over for 25 minutes, I ordered 2 chicken meal with chips and coffee instead of cold drinks, I was told when I ordered that the chicken will be ready in 10mins, the staff confirmed with the cook that time frame and the cook answered yes and the staff asked myself if it's okay to wait for 10 minutes and I said yes that's okay with me as I have 25 minutes, 20 minutes on I'm still waiting and was told they're still cooking the chicken and even the 3 coffee cups I ordered were not served, I end up leaving the cafe without my order with frustration especially that the 2 staff members were not happy when I asked them of my order, what a terrible service, waste of money and time.
I had omelette it was huge and hubby had eggs on toast. With coffees, nice and quite. Good prices.
Really great coffee and hot.....lovely blonde lady (sorry cannot remember her name ) who served me over the 2 days is an absolute asset to this business.
