Had 4 new tyres and tracking done at a very reasonable price. Tracking wasn't right the first time so brought the car back and they sorted it free of charge. Good service

Highly recommend National Tyres in York. From phoning to book an appointment to actually undertaking the Mot, their service is impeccable..really friendly helpful staff that are not in the least bit pushy.

They were spot on time for the pre-arranged appointment and had the tyre in stock. 25 minutes later new boot fitted, balanced and ready to go. Unfortunately the car's newish battery (apparently) went flat and it wouldn't start. The hardworking and very helpful staff diagnosed a duff battery, which was a surprise, but there seemed no alternative but to buy a new battery. I did, it started, and away I went. Took the original battery back under guarantee and a number of tests showed that there was nothing wrong with it. Turned out to be a loose connection to the starter which was tripped when the car was jacked up for the wheel. Not the tyre lad's fault, but an expensive mis-diagnosis! I'm guessing that, because the battery was checked with the terminals still connected, the short showed up as a faulty battery. Just a heads up in case it happens to you! That apart, they were a great bunch of lads.

Didn't catch the young lads name, but he went out of his way to help squeeze us in for a small job during a busy day. Great service from the entire team. Can't fault them.
