The column is interesting and is surrounded by lots of other interesting things and places. But, not much to see relating to the camera and no real information nearby on its history.

Its big, it's Roman, it's a column. A rather plain one, but notable because it is at the far end of the Roman empire. Also relevant because of the nearby statue of Constantine. The Roman emperor who was from Britain. He also cut Britain loose, fled the West and left for Byzantium.
I love how the column is placed next to the Minster. What was once a part of York's greatest building now stands next to York's greatest building
A fascinating building with so much history too it, one visit is just not enough to say that you have learnt all you can about it. I'll be back that is for sure.
Beautifully maintained Roman column opposing the Minster and the statue of Constantine- check it out whilst you're there, gives you a good scale of their buildings with an informative plaque on the circumference of it.
