No problems with service. Shipley supplies my propane and electricity. They offer great intro rates for new customers the 1st year but look out the second year. They will jack your rates up out of site. They just quoted me my new 2nd year electricity rate at .09210 from my 1st year rate of .0679. That rate is way higher than most the other suppliers in the area. I guess they think you won't check other rates and just sign on for another year or, they don't want to sell electricity. I did call in and discuss this with them and was still quoted a higher rate then the average in my area. They did the same thing with the propane a few years ago but did get back in the going rate ballpark barely. Beware.

Dale is great at customer care.he was polite and knowledgeable at his call.i had to call in a few times and all the other customer care agents rushed me off the phone.just wanted to sell me more service. dale took his time with the call and explained everything completely. He made me feel like he really cared.i was ready to cancel. Due to dale I'm a happy customer. i will be staying with shipley energy.

We were Capital City Oil customers, in August your team came out to service our Air Conditioner!! You took a picture of my husband and I as new happy customers! Unfortunately my husband died of Covid 01/17/21 In Florida and I forgot to fill my Oil tank at my PA house and ran out of oil! I am forever grateful for this company making an emergency trip to fill my tank and restart my furnace the next day! Not many companies have this Great Customer Service! Shipley will be my Oil Co. for life! Thank you!

Customer should be very watchful of their \budget\ plans and how they renew the contract with raising the monthly payments by almost triple. In my case, rough numbers, I was paying 209 a month, and at the end of the term you owe whatever was used over your estimated monthly use. mine was 100.00 owed extra, no big deal. I was told that if it was over, then next renewal would be adjusted and a new payment would be established for next term. So ten month term, divided by 100.00 is extra 10.00 per month, right? Not by their math, my monthly payment went to 586.00, and automatically renewed for that with no warning, they just charged my card. Once i found out,matter of days,i called them and they told me that this is the number they came up with and that they can not change it now nor refund that money, because it automatically renewed. i obviously canceled at that point, keep in mind they did not bring any fuel oil, so i assumed they would refund the money since no services nor product was delivered. Nope on all fronts, no refund, no heating, no nothing. I repeatedly called and asked for the refund or to receive the heating oil in the amount i was charged and each time id get a run around and excuses why they couldn't refund or bring the oil, because i was no longer a customer since i canceled the \agreement\ . So as far as im concerned they stole 586 from me. My bank was no help either but thats not the point, however Shipley gave them some story about the automatic renewal agreement. Save yourself some money and headache and look elsewhere. Stay away from this corporation and buy local!

Changed my rate from 1.85 to 4.74 without any proper forms of communication. After I called them to dispute my rate change they insisted that they sent out a letter that I never received. I currently have an investigation going on for the lack of communication for this rate increase. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone because they don't know how to communicate and the customer service representative was very rude.
