All in all a solid trip. Our server was fast and friendly. Our drinks never got empty. The food came out fast and hot. Can't wait to go back.

This food was way overpriced for the taste and quality. I don’t recommend this place, pictured is the blackened chicken sandwich and the Mac and cheese bites (which tasted terrible).

Enjoyed visiting The Coal Yard in York, SC. The food and service is very good. I liked that it's not very big, so no loud crowds. Very inviting atmosphere. Friendly folks here. Also, can reserve a separate area for a small group of friends or party. Will definitely be back.

Loved this place. Owner was amazing. Sad to see it go. Great to hang out after F3 workout on Thursday or Tuesday night at 730pm.

This place is really only good to have a drink at the bar. Ate here when I first moved to York and the food was mediocre then. Went there today because I was desperately hungry and decided to leave after 20 minutes of waiting for the staff to see if I'd like a drink because, at this point, I feel food would have been asking too much. Understandably the place was full of empty tables so it was obviously too busy to serve our table. I'd recommend not wasting your time at this place. It's worth the drive to go somewhere else.

My neighbor and I visited for dinner on a Saturday evening. It is a bar and grill type of establishment. The atmosphere related well with that genre. I ordered a rib eye 4 oz steak sandwich. The sandwich is on two Texas toasted slices of bread with tomato, lettuce and mayo. Pub chips are included which are homemade potato chips. The sandwich was delicious with great flavor but the steak was full of gristle. It should be served with a steak knife as the sandwich is destroyed by ripping at the meat. It is a shame as the sandwich is very delicious. I informed our server and her response indicated it wasn't the first time she had heard this complaint. Other than this everything was very good. I will return and probably order the sandwich again but obviously with a steak knife!
