My son and I stayed last night. Kerry the host is lovely. We rang her on arrival and she told us where she had left our key at the property. The key and room were easy to locate. Our room was on the second floor. The room was clean. Bed, desk, tv, fridge, bathroom and a table/chairs inside and out on the balcony. The walls are a bit thin but it wasn’t a drama. Definitely would stay there again.

I wrote a previous 1 star review but it has been removed. I’ll try again. I would rather stay in a tent next time than pay 260 to stay in this run down hotel. The advertised room for four adults is actually a bunk bed shoved in the entry way and a queen bed inside. The decor is old, dust over the surfaces, stains on the carpet and furniture, hairs on the pillow and in the bathroom. The TV didn't work. The windows rattled from the loud band that was literally on the other side of the wall. We tried to contact the manager for help but she didn't answer the phone - no manager onsite with a fully booked hotel! Avoid this place unless you get a rate that is commensurate with a two star facility. I can see why these were the only rooms left in town.

Really great value for money. For the low cost you got everything you could possibly need for a few nights away - hairdryer, crockery and cutlery, microwave, Tv, tea and coffee making facilities, milk, table and chairs. Shower had great pressure and hot. Bathroom had good ventilation. Good size towels. Even though we stayed in winter and aren’t used to the cold, we didn’t even need the reverse cycle air con-nice and warm. Room was clean enough, could do with a bit of a spring clean- however for the price we weren’t fussed and considering how much we’ve previously paid for a lot less, we were really happy and very comfortable. Great location as we were right by the main strip. My only feedback to pass on to the owner would be that booking.com doesn’t explain the check in process- no onsite reception so you must call. To be honest I usually like to call prior to coming to any country accomodation in any case, however overseas visitors may not be used to a non-chain hotel without 24 hour reception and be caught out.

Was excited to spend time with family. Our room looked ok on entrance. Put bags down went to other room to talk and eat. On returning around 10pm pulled back sheets to find huge stain. Felt sick. Out of courtesy didnt call management who by the way are not on site. Finally got to sleep and all night woken by a water system turing on and off thinking next door. Morning comes go to have hot shower luke warm and handle falls of shower. Called Kerry on Monday to voice complaint and she was on defensive straight away. We send laundry to Perth they must have missed it and the cleaner must have also. Youve left it to long to ring you should have rung when found. I responded "sorry for being courteous wont do that again" Hot water response-No we had that replaced last week - my response "well it certainly isnt working" Tap falling off - we'll get that fixed -ok Toilet - you should have turned the tap off and you would have known on arrival it was leaking My response - at 115 I shouldnt have to do anything. Got no sleep as the tap kept turning on to fill it up but we thought it was next door so didnt realise it was toilet- her response was again "what time did you book in you should have known it was leaking and turned tap. My response was "no, we put our bags and went to other room until 10pm. Very bad attitude for business owner. Nice when you book but woah when you make a complaint watch out. DEFINATELY WILL NOT GO BACK EVEN THOUGH SHE FINALLY OFFERED TO DISCOUNT NEXT TIME. Sorry York but leaves bad taste in my mouth and if thats the only option to stay wont be back!!!
