Went into the shop to try find a replacement front bead sight for my Beretta shotgun and the man in the shop was very helpful and said he would order the spare in from the supplier and said it would arrive around half way through the following week and to give them a call to double check before I came into the shop. Fast forward to Thursday the following week I called the sales team and was put through to a man who didn't seem to have a clue what was going on and didn't offer me any answer as to if my order had arrived in the shop and didn't bother to go find out, all he said was to call mid way through the following week which wasn't great considering I needed it that week. Anyway fast forward another week (2 weeks since I ordered the part) and I called the sales team 5 times in the space of half an hour and no one bothered to pick up so I called the retail team and the man on the phone said its none of his business and he can't help me and said I should just continue calling the sales team. Finally I got through to the sales team and they said that it had finally arrived. I went to the shop today and given the part and I asked how the part was fitted to the shotgun and all I got in response from the woman was "I have no clue I don't deal with shotguns I only do rifles" which was obviously no help to me at all, a simple question to her co worker would have saved me time and eliminate a chance of me doing it wrong but that seemed too difficult for her to process. So overall the service was very very poor and I will not be going there ever again which is a shame as I was looking to buy a new gun for the upcoming season and a new jacket but I will now go a bit further from home where I can guarantee the customer service will be better than here.

My grandads gun went in for deact on the 18th of July spoke with Jill who I know from gun club her customer service skills was shocking down the phone said she would keep in touch with me about it as she knows how much it ment to me 18th of Aug had to ring again spoke with a guy he couldn't answer the questions I was asking passed the phone to Jill again and she was like I had upset her from her lunch break very unprofessional indeed to say she has been in dealing with customers for a very long time my dad rang for a update a few weeks later and spoke with John the owner who said he would look in to it and ring back that was 3 weeks ago so I rang and spoke with Adam the store manager and asked where the phone call is still going to happen he said that the boss Won't be ringing your dad back it's a good job the shop is closing down as not one of them deserves a job from top to bottom only good thing I have got the gun back but what a mess about was told it had to go to London to be decat but it only had been to Rochdale place is a joke!! And I have found out this morning that the company who did the de act sent the gun back to York guns 3 weeks ago so that means they have been sat on the gun without telling me!!
Bought two new rifle set ups. The guys in store couldn’t do enough for me. Great service and and advice. Fair trade in price for second hand gun too. Way ahead of any other local company. Thankyou and I look forward to my next visit soon.

Second visit to York Guns today. Service received both times has been excellent. Staff happy to spend time discussing options and everything is competitively priced. Very happy and will definitely be back.
