Lovely place to have a family picnic and walk

A lovely little picnic place. Had composting toilets with some clean well maintained BBQ and bins. Great place to stop.

Walk trail around the dam provided photo oops of native orchids. Dam was very low. Great picnic facilities.

Great camping spot: toilets, play equipment, free gas BBQ and shady trees. The original dam was built in 1886 to provide water to the steam trains on the great southern railway travelling from Albany to Perth

Clean toilet. Camped overnight but read on the way out you should have a permit. Lovely to walk around the Dam and people who were there for a picnic were friendly. Not a safe swim area.
