With the help of Village of Champions Youth Network, and the \OPTIONS\ after school program I became aware of the various programs, activities, events and opportunities that Youth Service America (YSA) supports and provides. I learned that some of their goals and missions are to promote change through youth led activities in local communities and worldwide where major problems and issues need action, commitment and volunteer support to make a difference in order to better the lives of others. I was encouraged to apply for a \Disney of Friends Change\ grant that may also be apart of my Mother \Semester of Service\ program at her NSA Multicultural School in Philadelphia PA. This is also another initiative sponsored by YSA. We hope to get this grant in order to make some life long changes and opportunities that will make a difference regarding childhood hunger, poverty , heath and policy making decisions by our government.. Project details and request for youth volunteers will be posted shortly. I'm excited to get started..
