For several years now, while we've been busy doing what we think is really good work, we've had trouble describing or saying in a sentence or two what work we do, or who we are as a company. Last June, I met Hien and Matt at a visual storytelling workshop and got a business card and arranged to have them help us. First they spent over two hours asking us fantastic questions in a phone conference call and really listening to our answers. Then they encapsulated everything into a draft statement that blew us out of the water -- it said what we are, but in a way that was bold and declarative. It was awesome! They also gave us a 90 day action plan, which we've followed, and every step of that plan was eye-opening. We've completed it now, and we're so much clearer now than we were, and in so many different ways, from who are target customers are to how to present ourselves. This past week they did a workshop session, guiding us through a series of fascinating questions, and then sieved through our answers and helped us construct really powerful statements about who and what we are. It's utterly fantastic. I feel really lucky to be working with Huck Finch and I absolutely recommend to other businesses that may feel a bit lost in terms of self-definition and branding.
